ASPEN AVIONICS announced the company's groundbreaking Connected Panel technology will be integrated into the new Pilatus PC-12 NG Connected flight deck system.

General Aviation: A State-by-State Economic Impact Survey

 

The Alliance for Aviation Across America launched a wide-scale economic impact survey to outline the benefit of general aviation on businesses, local economies and communities around the nation. AEA Wired will highlight a different state each issue:

 

Vermont

 

Airports: 16

Pilots: 1,296

Aircraft: 603

Jobs: 9,000

Econ. Impact: $274 million

 

Note: Aviation jobs mean $225 million in payroll to Vermont.

General Aviation Caucuses were formed in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate in 2009, to inform members and staff about the importance of GA to the nation's economy and transportation system. To date, more than 182 members of the U.S. Congress have signed on to the General Aviation Caucus. Click below to see if your elected representative is a member. AEA Mourns Passing of Board Secretary Chuck Freeland Chuck Freeland
The Aircraft Electronics Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Chuck Freeland, a regional sales representative for Otto Instrument Service, an AEA member company located in Ontario, Calif.
  
Freeland passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, near his hometown of Vacaville, Calif., following a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will take place Friday, June 21, at 2 p.m. PDT at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, Calif. More...

"Trim the regulations by keeping the lean safety standards and move unneeded guidance and policy, like criteria (the fat) to, well, guidance and policy. Remove it from the regulations so they are 'one means, but not the only means' to show conformity to the safety standards."
