The Embry Rucker Community Shelter housed 16 families totaling 53 people (including 34 children) and 31 adult individuals. Of the families who exited the shelter, 87 percent moved to permanent housing and 66 percent of the singles who exited the shelter moved to permanent housing (Aug. data).
Community Case Management services were provided to 46 individuals to keep them stably housed and out of homelessness. 13 families (including 19 children) and 10 adults received rapid-rehousing, diversion and prevention services. (Aug. data)
451 households (1,452 beneficiaries) were served by ASAPP (Assistance Services and Pantry Program, formerly ESSP). 686 households received bags of food and toiletry items, with some households also receiving counseling through the Wellness Support program; 367 households received information and referrals and/or participated in life skills classes. $2,796 was provided to help 8 households in financial crisis to avoid rental eviction or utility cutoff (Aug./Sept. data).
The Foreclosure Prevention program assisted 16 households, all of which are still in process. In the Pre-Purchase Counseling program, 6 households were assisted, 5 of which are still in the preparation stages for a home purchase (Sept. data).
Through our Pro Bono Legal Clinic at the Southgate Community Center, 29 people were given free consultation with a lawyer (Sept. data).
