IMPACT SNAPSHOT
December 2013
  • 1,664 children (747 households) received toys and gift cards through the Gifts for Kids program.  


  • 1,081 households (3,823 beneficiaries)
    were served through our Emergency and Self-Sufficiency Services Program280 households

    received bags of food and toiletry items, 380 households received information and referrals, and 103 participated in life skills classes. 

     

    $1,032 was provided to help 3 households in financial crisis to avoid rental eviction or disconnection from a vital utility.

     

    The Foreclosure Prevention program assisted 5 households, of which 1 household (4 beneficiaries) has been able to bring resolution to their case to avoid foreclosure.

     

    2,227 instances of service were provided by C4HP/NRC for those facing eviction, homelessness, hunger, poor health or have needs for housing, health

    education, financial literacy, job development and food security.

      

    Our Healthy Families program served 86 participants to prevent child abuse and help at-risk families stay healthy.

    FY 2013

    Embry Rucker Community Shelter served 518 individuals (435 Adults and 83 children). 62% of the families and 24% of singles who exited the shelter moved to permanent or supportive housing.

    Stuff the Bus 

    Join Fairfax CountyFastran and Cornerstones to help Stuff the Bus with nonperishable food items to stock food pantry shelves. Volunteers from St. Anne's Episcopal Church will be on hand to collect your donation.
