13 families (totaling 39 individuals) and 52 single adults were served at our Embry Rucker Community Shelter. 23% of the families and 8% of the singles moved to permanent housing.
  

319 households (815 beneficiaries) were served by our Emergency & Self-Sufficiency Services Program. 235 households received bags of food and toiletry items, 62 households received information and referrals, 76 participated in life skills classes, and 28 participated in wellness support counseling.

 

Our Foreclosure Prevention

program assisted 4 households to avoid foreclosure.

 

Through our Pro Bono Legal Clinic at the Southgate Community Center, 32 people were given free consultation with a lawyer.

 

Neighbors came to our Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center more than 3,700 times for services.

We Need You!
Baked goods needed Friday, May 10th for
Community Day at the Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center. Donations can be dropped off between 9 am - 7 pm.

 

Volunteers needed Saturday, May 11th for Community Day at the Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center. Help with set up, serving food, leading kids zone activities, hosting an information table, and clean up following the event. A great opportunity for those in high school who need hours for school!

 

Volunteers needed Monday, May 13th for Stamp Out Hunger with the USPS! From 8 am - 1 pm help with picking up donations collected by USPS, transporting donations to the Rose Gallery at Lake Anne for sorting, and then taking donations to the Food Pantry or Offsite storage unit.
