112 individuals were served at our Embry Rucker Community Shelter.
  
More than 2,000 meals have been served to clients so far this season through our Hypothermia Prevention Program.
  
750 bags of food and toiletry items for 169 households were provided by our ESSP Program.
  
Neighbors came to our Neighborhood Resource Center 2,700 times for services.
  
1,873 children participated in our Gift for Kids program.
  
Foreclosures were prevented for seven households through our partnership with Connections for Hope.

50th Townhouse for Families in Need
The Reston Interfaith Housing Corporation (RIHC) is celebrating the acquisition of its 50th affordable townhouse unit, providing formerly homeless and at risk individuals and families a place of security and the opportunity to rebuild life. Read more.

Local Rotary Clubs Overhaul Shelter's ­­­­Storm Water System

A team of Rotary Club volunteers spent a cold and snowy February weekend overhauling the storm water management system of the 70-bed residential shelter for families and single men and women. Read more.

After several weeks of rigorous advocacy work, the General Assembly short session has concluded resulting in good prospects for Medicaid extension in Virginia. Read more.

Record-Breaking Support
By more than doubling our participation in the Help the Homeless program this past fall, Reston Interfaith recently received a $143,674 check from Fannie Mae -- a 40% increase from last year! Read more.

 

PLUS, The 30th Annual Capitol Steps Benefit Performance held on Feb.10th raised a record-breaking $147,000 to support Reston Interfaith's housing and homelessness programs.
