As of today, commitments have been made to the University of South Carolina, Mississippi State University, Converse College and Anderson University. The list of acceptances includes AMDA Conservatory in Los Angeles, Clemson University, College of Charleston Honors College, Furman University, Hawaii Pacific University, The Citadel, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, University of South Carolina Honors College

Discounted Re-enrollment For February Continues
Secure your student's 2016-2017 school year spot in Kindergarten - 12th Grade through Shannon Forest's easy online re-enrollment process. If you have questions as to whether you have successfully completed the online process, please contact Joanne Heiser at jheiser@shannonforest.com.
Re-enrollment rates (per student) are as follows:
Monday, February 1 - Monday, February 29 - $310
March 1 - Open Enrollment begins.
Regular enrollment fees apply - $450 for each student.
Financial Aid Information
Financial Aid applications are now being accepted. A student must be re-enrolled in order for a family to apply for financial aid. Just log in to RenWeb and go to Family Information/Go to FACTS to start your application for 2016-2017 Financial Aid.

Valuable Tax Season Enhancement From FACTS
With tax season nearly upon us, FACTS Management would like to remind you of a feature available to payment plan families which enables you to quickly and easily create a payment summary. By simply clicking "View Printable Payments Summary" on the Payments tab, you can retrieve and print a summary of payments for the 2015 year or any other specified time frame. Each payment summary contains the date range, family name, sub-accounts, and the school's Federal Tax ID number.

Have You Sent Your Valentine A Candy Gram Yet?
Time is running out to purchase the always popular Candy Grams! The cost for a Candy Gram with a Hershey Kiss is $0.25 each. You can add additional kisses for $0.25 each. STUFFED ANIMALS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The sale will run through Thursday, February 11 with final deliveries made on Friday, February 12. All proceeds go to the junior/senior prom.

No Snow Day Make-up
Shannon Forest will NOT make up the Snow Day that was taken on
Friday, January 22.
All AP classes will be made up on Gold Wednesdays from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. per the schedule below. AP students will be required to attend these
make-up sessions.
- Wednesday, February 24: Language (Gustafson/11th Grade) & Literature (Cain/12th Grade)
- Wednesday, March 9: Calculus (Ramey/12th Grade), European History (Heiser/10th Grade) & US History (Thompson/11th Grade)

Paige Is Our Crusader Of The Week!
Meet Crusader of the Week Paige Harris. She is a 6th Grade student and started going to school at Shannon Forest in the 1st Grade. One word Paige uses to describe her Shannon Experience is...fun! She enjoys participating in choir, student council and her favorite class is Mr. Burnette's Bible class. "He's very nice," says Paige. "He really cares for us and he prays for us." In her spare time, Paige likes to play with her pets - a dog and two guinea pigs. She also loves to read. Check back next week to meet another student from Shannon Forest Christian School.

Upcoming Basketball Action!
The Varsity Women's team will play Spartanburg Christian on Thursday, February 11, in the SCISA Region Tournament held at Spartanburg Day School. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
The Middle School teams continue the Carolina Middle School Conference (CMSC) action this Thursday. The girls' team is already in the semi-finals and will play St. Mary's at Hampton Park Christian at 6:00 p.m. The boys' opponent is to be determined, but tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. The CMSC tournament championship games will be played on Friday, February 12. The girls play at 6:45 p.m. and the boys at 7:45 p.m.

The Shannon Forest Mouseketeers are ready for departure! Students and chaperones are escaping the cold weather tomorrow and heading to Orlando, Florida! Our choir students will attend the DISNEY SINGS Broadway Workshop! Students will perform a scene from a Disney Broadway musical and learn about staging, costuming, props and more.

Senior and Student Body President Braden Tuttle spent his summer participating in the Medical Experience Academy through the Greenville Health System Clinical University. MedEx Academy is a four-tier experience that provides an interactive learning and teaching environment that promotes the pursuit of clinical and non-clinical health care careers. Braden earned class credit for this program, and plans to continue in MedEx Academy for the remaining three tiers. Congratulations, Braden!

Think Summer!
Summer at Shannon registration has begun! This fun-filled program for students in KT - 5th Grade (completed) runs from Tuesday, May 31, - Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
Lower School Enrichment Clusters Offer Variety of Classes
Shannon Forest Lower School students in K5 - 5th Grade will learn new skills and explore unique interests in the upcoming Enrichment Clusters Day to be held on Thursday, March 3.
5th Grade Student Has Heart!
Shannon Forest 5th Grade student Ben Stubbs has been selected as a winning artist in the Upstate Heart Ball kid's heART Poster Contest! Ben, his parents and teacher all received complimentary tickets to this year's Heart Ball where winners will be recognized in a special presentation. Congratulations, Ben!

Spring picture day for Lower School students will be held on Friday, February 26. Class and individual photos will be taken.

Last week Katie Horton's 2nd Grade class ended their day with praise and worship together!
Mrs. Patterson's KT class recently enjoyed Gingerbread Man Day. The Gingerbread Man Mrs. Patterson made for the class ran away. Students followed clues all around the Lower School Annex, found him, caught him and ate him!

4th Grade students Samuel Norman, Zander Wilk, and Emily Long worked together to build a tall structure strong enough to hold a toy duck in a recent STEM Lab.
New C.A.N. Nutrition Class Available
I Ate The Rainbow! is a mind, body, spirit program designed to celebrate our significance, encourage positive behavior, and remind children of how God created our amazing bodies and the nutritious foods that fuel us. The class is now available for students Age 3 - 5th Grade.
