An Evening With Gigi Graham - Daughter of Billy Graham
  You don't have to drive all the way to The Cove in Asheville to hear inspirational speaker Gigi Graham - daughter of Reverend Billy Graham!  Join us at The Loom at Cotton Mill Place in Simpsonville for this special evening on Friday, February 19.  The night will include dinner and music by the Shannon Forest Honors Chamber Choir.  All proceeds will benefit the Shannon Forest Christian School Annual Fund.  

Invitations and response cards have been mailed and tickets are on sale now for $25 per plate.  Please return all response cards via mail or to any school office by Thursday, February 4. 

Re-Enrollment Fee Increases This Monday!
Don't miss the opportunity to re-enroll for the 2016-2017 school year at a reduced rate.  Secure your students spot in Kindergarten - 12th Grade through Shannon Forest's easy online re-enrollment process.  This must be completed in its entirety before Monday, February 1, to get the lower rate.  If you have questions as to whether you have successfully completed the online process, please contact Joanne Heiser at jheiser@shannonforest.com.
 
Re-enrollment rates (per student) are as follows:
Saturday, January 16 - Sunday, January 31 - $235
Monday, February 1 - Monday, February 29 - $310
March 1 - Open Enrollment begins. Regular enrollment fees apply - $450 for each student.

Crusader of The Week
Meet Crusader Julius Thompson. He has attended Shannon Forest Christian School for two years and is currently a freshman.  His favorite memory of Shannon Forest was being a part of the first-ever Varsity Football team.  He hopes to one day play collegiate football and pursue a career as a psychiatrist.  Along with football, Julius is also involved in basketball, soccer, track, Model United Nations and Youth in Government.  Out of all his classes, Julius loves science with Mrs. Cooper. "It's cool how she always has a story to relate what we are learning to real life," said Julius.  Check back next week to meet another student from Shannon Forest Christian School.
It's Candy Gram Time!
The junior class will once again be offering the always popular Candy Grams starting on Monday, February 1!  The cost for a Candy Gram with a Hershey Kiss is $0.25 each.  You can add additional kisses for $0.25 for each.  Stuffed animal Candy Grams cost $1.50.  The sale will run through Thursday, February 11 with final deliveries made on Friday, February 12.

School-wide Photo Contest
Your photos can be featured in the 2016 Shannon Forest yearbook!  Send in your BEST photos from this past summer or Christmas break and 18 pictures from each school break will be featured in the 2016 yearbook.   Multiple pictures can be entered, so don't hold back, email your best shots!  The top 5 pictures will also win a $5 gift card to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Specifications:
1. You or someone who is currently enrolled at SFCS must be in the photo
2. Photo must be original and appropriate
3. No inappropriate dress can be featured in the photo
4. Must be from summer 2015 or Christmas 2015
5. Must include name(s) of person(s) in photo and location as well as a brief description of the photo
6. Send digital photo(s) to ckredensor16@shannonforest.com
The deadline to submit photos is Friday, February 12.

MIDDLE/UPPER SCHOOL NEWS
Senior Yearbook Ad Deadline Is Approaching!
The deadline to complete senior 2016 Yearbook ads is Monday, February 15!
Send a special message to seniors including pictures from their life, by purchasing a senior ad.  Since this is their last yearbook, it is a really special opportunity to give them one last "look back" at these memorable years.
The process is easy:
  • Go to Jostens.com.
  • Choose the Yearbooks option
  • Select Order Your Yearbook Ad
  • Type in Shannon Forest Christian School
  • Create a simple login
  • Once you are logged in, follow the simple instructions.  There are multiple page and style options from which you can choose. You will simply need to insert your photographs, write your letter, submit, and pay!
LOWER SCHOOL NEWS

KT & K5 100th Day Food Drive
Students in Shannon Forest's KT and Kindergarten classes are collecting canned goods for their January mission project.



Shannon Beginnings 4-year-old students each laced 100 Froot LoopsŪ to make  necklaces for the 100th day of school!

Upcoming KT - 5th Grade FlexTime Deadlines
  • There will be a half day of school, for LOWER SCHOOL students only, on Friday, February 12.  The deadline to register for FlexTime is Friday, February 5, by noon.
  • Full day FlexTime will be offered for our President's Day school holiday on Monday, February 15.  Participants must pre-register no later than Monday, February 8 at 12 noon.

Senior Recognition Night
Shannon Forest Christian School will recognize all of our senior Varsity athletes for their accomplishments during the last four years on 
Thursday, February 4.
