ALL SCHOOL NEWS!

Model UN Students Honored

Four SFCS Middle School students spent part of their spring break in Black Mountain, North Carolina, at the YMCA Model United Nations Conference.  Each group of students represented a different country, which all make up the United Nations.  Our students represented Israel and were honored with the "Outstanding Resolution Award."  Their resolution was one of only six resolutions to make it to the final "Plenary" session of the conference.  In addition, Luca Coban and Jack Cummings were selected to participate in the Security Council simulation, where they represented the country of Chad.  High School students Sawyer Norman and Thomas Gasque also participated at Model UN as high school "Resource Staffers."  Congratulations to our students who voluntarily entered this event!  The school did not organize a Model UN delegation this year due to the fact that it was held during our spring break.

Delegates Benjamin Norman, Julius Thompson, Luca Coban and Jack Cummings.

Participating students included: Thomas Gasque, Sawyer Norman, Julius Thompson, Jack Cummings, Luca Coban and Benjamin Norman.
