All School Emergency Preparedness Plan In Place

Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) is pleased to inform our parents that a new Emergency Preparedness Plan has been developed for the entire SFCS campus.  This comprehensive plan was created by a current Spartanburg County School Resource Officer with input from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and Boiling Springs Fire Department.  The Emergency Preparedness Plan addresses everything from weather related emergencies, evacuations, and proper protocol and procedure for threats such as an active shooter or bomb threat.  All school personnel have attended training sessions on the various components of the Emergency Preparedness Plan.

Throughout the month of March, various drills will be conducted campus wide.  You may hear your student talking about fire drills, tornado drills, and lockdown drills.  Parents will also be receiving instructions on what you should do in the event of an emergency on campus.  The safety and security of our students and school personnel is of the upmost importance.  This plan moves us forward as we work together to build a strong and secure community.

  • All groups will be going out to lunch.  Be sure to bring money to buy lunch or bring a lunch.

Shannon Forest feels that it is a privilege to be a part of serving the community in which we live.  Philippians 2:3-4 tells us, "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.  Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."  We're looking forward to a great day!
