March 20 Snow Day Added Back to School Year

Shannon Forest is adding Friday, March 20, back as a regular school day to make up for one of the missed snow days last week. The other missed day will be excused.

Hunger Project PENNY WARS Starts Next Week!

The entire school will be competing in a Hunger Project PENNY WARS from Monday, March 2 - Friday, March 6.  On the West Campus (US), it's every grade for themselves and the East Campus (LS) teachers will see who can collect the most in their jars.  The goal is to fill the jar you want to win with ONLY pennies and to sabotage the rest of the jars with other coins and bills.  Pennies are positive points and all other money deposited in a jar is subtracted from the total penny amount.  All proceeds will go toward reaching our goal to raise $10,000 for the Hunger Project.  Please contact Chris Conover at cconover@shannonforest.com if you have any questions.

Impact Drivers Needed

The next IMPACT service day is scheduled for Friday, March 6.  If you are available to serve as a driver for the day, please contact Chris Conover at cconover@shannonforest.com.  Drivers will be needed from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

Shannon Forest recently received a very encouraging email from the Head of School in Cot, Costa Rica where our visitors Christian and Melissa attend school.

Now that classes started, I have had the chance to talk to Christian and Melissa, and they have told me how fascinating the experience was, they talk about their parents, brothers, sisters, friends, teachers and how good they felt while staying there, they always felt at home. In fact, it was an experience that will impact in a very positive way for the rest of their lives.

I, on behalf of the staff of Liceo de Cot, want to express our gratitude.

God bless you!!!
