It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Shannon Forest! Jessi Cain's Upper School English students recently partnered with Amy Harkey's Kindergarten class to create gingerbread houses. We're not quite sure if more candy was added to the houses or eaten by our sweet students!  K5 students Kelli Kivett & Edward Long joined US students Caroline Kredensor & Warner Watkins to decorate their houses.

A Big Shannon Forest Welcome to Esmeralda and Pedro!

You may remember Esmeralda Leandro from last January when she and eight other teachers and administrators from Cot, Costa Rica visited our campus for two weeks.  We are thrilled to have her back on our campus to work with our French and Spanish teachers during what is her summer break back home.  Esmeralda teaches French in the school in Cot who partners with Shannon Forest for our senior mission trips.  This time, she has also brought her 12-year-old son Pedro, who is auditing classes to work on his English skills.  When asked how she feels about this opportunity, Esmeralda responded, "Visiting Shannon Forest is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and share new experiences."  Our community is pleased to have them both here for two months partnering with us and helping us expand our global awareness and understanding.  If anyone in your home speaks Spanish or French and you would be interested in helping Esmeralda and Pedro feel welcome, please contact Chris Conover at cconover@shannonforest.com to make arrangements.
