ENRICHMENT NEWS

Family Enrichment Night: A Panel Discussion on Body Image and

Its Repercussions

Save the date!  Shannon Forest's Enrichment Department will present the first in a series of hot topics for today's family on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m. The purpose is to bring a spotlight to the areas that most affect our students and offer understanding and resources. Parents, teens, coaches, grandparents, educators and youth pastors are all encouraged to come learn about the power of body image and how to help your child avoid or heal from the negative ramifications such as disordered eating, perfectionism, performance driven identity, as well as destructive behaviors like promiscuity, cutting, and substance use.

There will be no cost for these discussions. Invite your friends, church and neighbors who would be blessed as we strive to be a positive family support in our community.

  • 'Movie & Popcorn' childcare for PK3-5th Grade children will be provided at no cost by FlexTime.
  • Come early for pizza at 6:15 p.m. to eliminate any dinner rush.
  • An RSVP form will be sent out later in the week.
