West Campus Carline Clarification

After-school activities on the West Campus (US) are at a fever pitch!  More and more people are attending afternoon athletic practices and games, and we want to keep our students and visitors SAFE!  Parents, please adhere to the following Upper School car line procedures:

- Upper School students should be dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon in the Upper School car line, located along the NORTH side (behind the 200 Building) of the Upper School Buildings.  Access to this car line is located from Shamrock Drive. In the afternoon, cars will form two lines. Students, supervised by faculty, will be dismissed directly to their car.

- Drop-off and pick-up in front of the Upper School Gymnasium is not permitted except at the close of athletic practices or games.

Parking is not permitted in the circle area in front of the Upper School Gymnasium at any time.

Parking for games should be in the East Campus (LS) student/church parking lots or in the spaces available in the car line area, behind the 200 Building. Please do not park for games or other school events in the field areas surrounding the Upper School Gymnasium or along Garlington Road.

Thank you for helping to keep our traffic problems to a minimum and for keeping our students and visitors safe!

Operation Bear Hug is Underway!

null It's East Campus vs. West Campus in a Box Tops Competition!

Build Leadership Skills at Youth in Government

Shannon Forest Christian School (SFCS) will once again participate in the South Carolina YMCA Youth in Government (YIG) Conference.  The YIG Program seeks to create the next generation of good citizens, using a service-learning model to develop valuable leadership skills.  Students participate in Model Legislative and Court Conferences, serve in the House and Senate, present and debate bills - all in a State Government structure that is completely run by students.  It is an outstanding opportunity to work with other students across the state to develop active leadership skills and to understand how to effect change within the local and state government system.

High School students will attend from Wednesday, November 19 - Saturday, November 22, at a cost of $425. Middle School students will attend from Thursday, November 20 - Saturday, November 22, at a cost of $350. Scholarships are available which cover a portion of the cost.

If your student is interested in attending the 2014 YIG Conference and did not attend the YIG Meeting this past Tuesday, please email Lori Horton, lhorton@shannonforest.com, for information.  The next SFCS-YIG delegate meeting will take place Tuesday, September 9, during Study Hall.
