Operation Bear Hug Service Project Begins!

Early Childhood students will be participating in Operation Bear Hug for the second year in a row!  This is a non-profit organization created to benefit children in crisis situations through the donation of new and gently used huggable bears or stuffed animals.

  • The bears are collected and re-distributed to agencies such as police departments, DSS and area children's homes who use the bears to offer comfort to children in crisis situations.
  • This year our stuffed animal collection will not only help children in crisis, but also hungry families!
  • As Shannon Forest focuses on helping those who are hungry in the Greenville area and abroad, $1 will be donated to the Hunger Project for every stuffed animal collected!
  • In an effort to educate our students to avoid crisis situations, Officer Hill, with Greenville County Sheriff's Department, will be visiting with us on Monday,September 8, to share childhood safety tips!
  • Our collection begins on Tuesday, September 2, and runs through Tuesday, September 16.
