 I was hired by the Ad agency, Kingsford Communication to create a series of images for the Missoula law firm, Garland/Lohn/Robertson  for a recruiting brochure. It has been a blast! The image above of lawyer Mark Munro, was taken on one of those days where you didn't know what the weather was going to do. My assistant and I went down to Brennan's Wave to set up our " Electronic Strobe" only to race to shelter under the overlook as a serious rain storm moved in. Fortunately it only lasted short time, so we moved our "Electronic Strobe" back to the site, near the water, took off the protective plastic garbage bags, set up the light in time for the client to arrive. Mark was a great sport, the sun came out, the shoot was a big success. The next day we went to their offices to photograph Mark in the GLR conference room. The image of lawyer, Katherine Georger, (on top)  was also taken over the  same two days with similar experiences and result.

 What a fun wedding and a great couple. Steve and Tandra from Portland decided to have their wedding at the  Tarkio River Lodge in, Montana. The couple had spent some time in Missoula and decided it a great central location for  all their friends and family to converge.  An extra bonus, for me,  is they hired local musician Tom Catmull, whom I always wanted to see but never had a chance, for their reception.

I just completed my 5th catalog for Neesha Fashion. I shot over 2500 images in one day and 100's of stunning Spring Fashion designs. Phew...
Below is one of the models wearing a Neesha original. The background was taken on one my favorite hikes in Missoula, the Waterworks Trail.

 I always like to promote new clients and with winter just around the corner I thought the ColdAvenger was the perfect one. I had gotten the call from the COO of Talus Outdoor Technologies. They needed updated, hi-quality photos of their products, asap of course. Below is an example of my work and theirs.  Dear Readers,

  It is hard to believe that my favorite holiday is upon us, Halloween. If my costume were to reflect the many diverse photo jobs I just completed it would be very colorful.

It started with a new campaign for a local Missoula law firm (I call the photo series the work/play campaign) ; a wedding in Tarkio MT.  for a couple  who live in Portland; product photos of masks to protect you from the frigid cold; the Spring collection from Neesha Fashion; and family portrait up on Waterworks Hill.

Above Neesha looks at the details of her fashion  worn by the model, Jessica  My crew and additional models are in the background keeping it all together. 


The fun continues when I collaborate with my friend, award winning filmmaker Geoffrey Pepos, on a short film to launch a new product.  I can't say much more about the film or product but I do hope to embed a short clip in the next newsletter.

What's Next?  :

I will be working on a beauty campaign for  the Surgical Arts Center, awaiting approval from a new client about work with another Missoula Law firm and I end this month with my annual School portraits with Garden City Montessori and Jefferson Pr-school. Further down the road, in December, I have been hired to photograph Chocolate, YUM...just in time for the holidays.

FACEBOOK GONE BAD:

Finally, I am going to drop my iPhone/favorite photo Facebook section. The reason is due to the change in Facebook's policy regarding photos. In brief, Facebook can now sell any photos posted on Facebook to anyone and the originator of the photo receives no monetary compensation for the sale. In addition,  if the person in the photo sold decides to sue for the use of the photo in an ad due to defamation of character or some other legal reason, the owner of the photo, not FB is liable. PS You don't have to be a pro photographer to be effected by this bad policy.

I am thinking of stripping all my images on FB and just post links to my images elsewhere....or wait and see if they change their policy...bummer.
