I was invited to be on art panel for the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture. in Cleveland, Ohio. For two days myself and four other "awesome" artist reviewed, critiqued and judged various mediums of visual arts,  awarding 20 Cleveland artists $20,000 each. It was a great experience, and an honor to be a part of such a great philanthropic program. There is a lot of artistic talent in Cleveland and to award a generous fellowship to help artist "think bigger" is a benefit to the whole community. To read more: Fellowship

Senior Portrait
Mark Class of 2013 Thompson Falls
The above image was taken in  Thompson Falls Montana. It is not often I photograph a senior this late in the season but the Thompson Falls HS deadline is in January. It was a cold rainy drive (2 hours from Missoula) so I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise, the rain, cold and changing of color of the Tamaracks made for a great backdrop.

In the mix was a shoot for  Neesha's Spring 2013 catalog;2 days; 4 models and 3300 images...It was exhausting, fun and hot ( my power packs got overheated).  Below is one of the images for the Spring Catalog.  Not very Spring like but to keep the catalog a surprise I dropped in a winter scape.

What's next?  
There are some pending projects which I will hold off on saying anything about till the next newsletter. This is the time I put my office to sleep and get into a high gear plotting out what to do in the new year.

Dear Readers,

    Not sure if you missed October newsletter? If so,  no worries it never got out. It's been busy. Ok,  maybe not the best excuse but an excuse nonetheless.  I can't believe the holidays are upon us!!! Before I forget HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

 

What have I been up to for the last two months? Well, a lot of travel in and out of the state of Montana.  October started with a two day Neesha Fashion Catalog shoot;  a two day shoot for Pepperjack Interior design; a five day trip to Ohio to give out $400K of art fellowships, : an architectural shoot for a new client and a shoot in Thompson Falls MT, 2 hours outside of Missoula. That was just October.

 

This month started out with school shoots, a very time intensive process but their soooo cute. I just got booked to photograph a wedding in June.  Oh yeh,  the election, well that's old news.

 

It is hard to believe another year is about to end and we will be entering the " lucky 13".

I don't know about how you deal with the holiday season but this is about the time I begin to panic...take a couple of deep breaths and panic again...

I still need a couple of months to fill in all the " new content" on to my new and improved website...my first New Year's resolution.!!!
