New! Assistive Technology (AT) and AIM

Assistive technology and accessible instructional materials are closely linked as accessible content is often delivered via technology.  When a student served under IDEA needs technology for access to the content and the curriculum, the technology meets the definition of AT.

Now users of the newly designed AIM Center AT webpages can more easily understand the relationship between AT and AIM and can quickly find AT resources both at the state  and national level. Have a question about AT and AIM? Sign-up for the QIAT listserv online community or join the #ATchat on Twitter every Wednesday at 9 PM EST.

TA Tip
Summer is a great time to get new ideas or catch up, and this issue is full of opportunities! It's a great time to attend a webinar or two, create some accessible original digital books with Book Builder and explore some interesting new technologies or apps! In July, we've scheduled an evening AIM Basics webinar for people who are not able to participate during the day. Please let educators and families know about this new opportunity. if the evening session works well for people, we will continue to have evening sessions from time to time.

I hope your summer offers opportunities for relaxation and refreshment! And that, as always, we're here to help with all things AIM.
