Make it a Fair Trade Holiday Season!
Of COURSE we'd like you to give OUR Fair Trade products to your friends and loved ones... But we might not have exactly what you're looking for. Never fear, there's an app (oops, "guide") for that!
This year KVI has placed ads in TWO Fair Trade holiday guides and we'd encourage you to shop with our fellow Fair Trade retailers (once you've placed your order on OUR site, of course!)
The Fair Trade Federation Holiday Gift Guide features exclusively FTF members and their products, ranging from fashion to food, toys to decor, and a lot in between.
The Ethical Holiday Shopping Guide takes a slightly different "slant" by featuring groups that either work with survivors of modern-day slavery (such as STOPstart) or work to create sustainable economic change (like Fuente de Pino), as a trafficking-prevention strategy.
This year, shop Fair Trade! And please encourage your friends to do so as well! |

Documentary Update
 In case you missed the announcement, our eBay documentary went "live" on October 16th. (Rebecca thought that that was a terrific birthday present to her!) It was rather prominent on eBay's site for the remainder of October and a number of friends that we hadn't heard from in a long time happened to stumble upon it and reconnected with us as a result. If YOU didn't get an opportunity to see it, click the eBay logo to link to it on YouTube. (And be sure to share it with a friend on Facebook, or wherever you "hang out" socially on the web!)
We were also thrilled that the local media picked up on the story AND the opening of our holiday shop. We were featured on the daily paper's Business section right after the eBay article and in one of the suburban weekly papers the day our shop opened. The Last Word... Greetings!
OK, so we thought LAST month was rather intense in Kingdom Ventures World...it WAS, but it carried straight through for weeks!!!! We have experienced an extended version of "Christmas in October!" Products flowing in from our suppliers such as STOPstart, ThaiWeave (formerly Asian Threads) and Fuente de Pino, enabling us to fulfill orders from wholesale and retail venues across the USA. As we enter the "busiest retail season", there has been oodles of preparation, publicity, and product delivery for both our Fair Trade Market shows and our 8th annual KVI International Marketplace! There have been great opportunities to work with fellow Fair Trade folks, each working to Make A Difference in the lives others worldwide. These relationships enable us to offer a plethora of Fair Trade products involving other groups in India, Peru, Kenya, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Uganda. And, of course, we MUST remember to mention those samplings of Joe Bean Fair Trade coffee and Equal Exchange chocolate available to all within our holiday shop! Fair Trade products ~ a win-win-win for everyone involved!
Additionally this year in our holiday shop we will offer Super Saturdays Events. Each Saturday from 1pm-4pm in a relaxed environment, we will offer a number of learning opportunities and speakers to share on an array of topics. We'd love you to stop in and hear from folks we have met along this Fair Trade journey! If you're in the Greater Rochester area, we look forward to seeing you!
