We survived Sandy!
- There was a rainbow toward the northeast this morning! The sun has been shining bright, with some residual wind gusts. The water is choppy and still higher than normal after late morning high tide.
- The Police cordoned off the causeway at 11 PM last night. Major damage to the sea wall at the Main Beach with concrete wall pieces and debris filling the road. It appears that the sink hole from Irene may have been erroded further.
- South Bridebook, between Brockett and Lake Shore has become 2-way due to the closure.
- The Association Dock has damage.
- Beebe's Snug Harbor and Tramontozzi's suffered damage, but nothing else visable except for some gutters & shingles here & there.
- Still no power and no word as to restoration. Major cables down just south of Dell Road. AT&T was setting a generator so U-Verse should be restored.
Some pictures have been posted at www.gnba.shutterfly.com. Feel free to add any you have taken.
