State of Emergency - Evacuation Ordered
ATTENTION: The Town of East Lyme is in a State of Emergency due to the anticipated weather event generated by Hurricane Sandy. The Unified Command under the direction of First Selectman Paul M. Formica has ordered the mandatory evacuation of all coastal low lying areas. We are requesting your cooperation in evacuating all of the residences within 200 feet of any tidal body of water no later than 11 AM on Monday, October 29, 2012. Should you choose to shelter in place, you must be aware that emergency services may not be able to reach you in the event of an emergency. Please monitor Channel 22 or ELTOWNHALL.COM for further information and instructions.
