The CMO Rising Star Award is based on a marketing executive's demonstrated capabilities in leading an organization, marketing innovation and leading the growth agenda, with less than 10 years of marketing experience.  

 

Framework for consideration includes:

Chris joined Kawasaki in 2004, has been responsible for the company's marketing, advertising, in-store merchandising, proprietary publications, and website. He has also been involved in the production of Kawasaki's dealer meetings. Prior to joining Kawasaki, Brull managed marketing and advertising efforts for various clients in his roles at major advertising agencies for 14 years. While at FCB, he first supervised the Kawasaki ATV advertising account from 1998 to 2001, then assumed responsibility for the agency's supervision of all product categories until he joined KMC three years later. Brull's marketing group consists of advertising, public relations, Team Green amateur racing, and consumer and corporate events.

He led BT Global Services' approach to the Professional Services sector and, more recently, the firm's successful global key account marketing program. Studying a Bachelor of Arts, Business Studies (Marketing) at the University of Essex, England, and holding a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Richard has been nominated for countless awards in his young career, and was twice highly commended as Young Marketer of the Year by the UK's Marketing Society. Rose Hamilton is the Chief Marketing Officer for Pet360. She has 17 years of experience in building direct-to-consumer businesses with expertise in e-commerce strategy, direct response marketing, brand building, and consumer analytics/insights. Most recently, Rose served as the Vice President of E-commerce for Ann Taylor and LOFT brands, where she oversaw online marketing strategy and analytics for anntaylor.com and loft.com, focusing on bringing the brands to life in the online environment to drive multi-channel customer acquisition, engagement and conversion. Prior to joining Ann Taylor Stores, Rose lead online marketing, merchandising, and loyalty programs for a variety of leading retailers and financial services organizations including Chico's FAS, Best Buy, Wilsons Leather and US Bank.

Craig Neely joined Crown Imports as the Sr. Brand Director of Corona Extra and Corona Light in 2010. Craig previously was the Director of Velveeta and Parmesan Cheese brands at Kraft Foods where he led many initiatives that drove increased sales and revenue. During his eight years at Kraft, Craig worked on many of their leading brands and has shown success at every level. Prior to Kraft, he worked for ZS Associates as a consultant on many complex assignments. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about beer and is committed to taking his brands to the next level.

Kyle Schlegel
CMO, Hillerich & Bradsby Co. (Louisville Slugger, Bionic & Powerbilt)

Schlegel brings over a decade of brand expertise to the table at Hillerich & Bradsby as their VP of Global Marketing. A Kentucky native and a Miami University graduate, he joined the Hillerich & Bradsby family earlier in 2012 after a 13-year career of increasing responsibility in the marketing division of Procter & Gamble. He has worked both domestically and internationally on widely recognized and highly marketed brands including Herbal Essences, Old Spice, Aussie and Wella. Now, as a proven marketing vet, he is responsible for all marketing initiatives across the Louisville Slugger, Bionic Gloves and the company as a whole. Schlegel has a wide array of experience and a proven track record of success in growing sales and market share, branding, innovation, line extension, retailer/customer collaboration, in-market execution and leadership. Outside the office, he is an avid sports fan and is active in various civic and charitable organizations.

Ms. Todd regularly appears as a top-ranked speaker at national conferences. Ms. Todd began her career as a newspaper journalist and editor before switching to advertising.
