SECONDS SHOW - JANUARY 12th, 10 AM to 2 PM
We artists who make our art using fire want to start the new year with cleaned out studios. For art collectors that means " BIG SALE!!!" I'll have pottery for $5 (regular $20+), African figurines for $20 or less (reg. $40-$100), and lots of other great offers on my clay and metal sculptures and jewelry. Cash is best but some artists, like me, can accept credit cards or checks. Make sure you bring a sturdy bag or cart to carry your purchases during this fast-paced annual show. Word to the wise: Some people will be lining up early to get the best selection of original art.

DREAMING OF SPRING SHOW - JANUARY 12th, 5-9 PM
Also on January 12th, Second Saturday, I will be the featured artist at the Union Hall Gallery, 2126 K Street, Sacramento, from 5-9 PM. The art will remain at the gallery through the end of January, during the week, from 11 AM to 2 PM. "DREAMING OF SPRING" is designed to brighten the cold, grey days of January with beautiful visions of warmer days to come. Colorful, mixed media sculptures will be featured, as well as photographs of sculptures in a lush garden setting. I like to infuse clay, recycled metal, glass, fabric and stone into exotic artworks for the office, home, and garden. There's more information and pictures on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/412397795511988/ P.S. My friends, Linda Gelfman and Thomas Powell, will be the featured artists a few doors down at the 2110 K Street Gallery on Jan 12th, 6-9 PM.

CARING FOR YOUR SCULPTURES, PART 1
So you purchased one of my outdoor art pieces and have been enjoying it all summer long. Now that it's winter and starting to rain, there are some recommended actions you might want to take to keep the sculpture looking great for years and years to come. My blog has some helpful hints you might want to follow for different types of Kanika sculptures. This month's newsletter refers to Kanika sculptures that are mounted on wood.
