TAU Board Recruitment - Be a Part of TAU's Growth!
TAU is looking for individuals interested in the arts in Louisville to join our organization's Board during this time of exciting expansion. We conduct quarterly Board meetings, and also have meetings specific to special events, budgeting, marketing and fundraising as needed. TAU Board terms are for three years. We are especially interested in Board members with a strong background in:
- PR/Marketing
- Lawyer
- Information Technology (IT)

Take-A-Seat Campaign Going Strong
TAU's Take-A-Seat Campaign to support a new theatre and community arts center at Louisville's Steel Ranch development is off to a great start with close to 30 of the total 200 theater seats available already having been sold! There is still time to participate in the Take-A-Seat campaign by donating $350 for a theater seat for the new theater planned to break ground in the new year. A permanent brass plaque with an inscription of your choice will be mounted on a seat recognizing your support of TAU's legacy in Louisville. Consider donating in memory of a loved one or as a holiday gift to someone interested in supporting TAU or the arts in Louisville in general, or as a community support from a local business.

Fill-a-Truck - Donate items and Help TAU's Performance Dance Company
Clear your house of some gently used items like clothing, furniture and other items by donating to TAU's Performance Dance Company's "Fill A Truck" fundraiser running through Sunday, October 29th. ARC Thrift Stores will donate money to help offset the costs for TAU's Performance Company's performance in Disney World on November 24th. 1/3 of the truck is already filled, earning TAU $250, now let's get it past ½ filled to make $500 for the group. DANCE NEWS
Holiday Dance Concert - Sunday, December 9, 2012
The annual TAU Holiday Dance Concert will be Sunday, December 9th at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm at Louisville Middle School. Dress Rehearsal will be on Saturday, December 8th. Costume information, including fees due for our Holiday 2012 Dance Concert is available on our website. If you have not yet set up your account, please go to our website at artunder.org and click on the Login link in the upper right hand corner
for instructions.
Your child's attendance in dance class is very important, as teachers are actively working on choreography for our upcoming show. We expect kids to attend each and every class unless they are ill. If your child must miss dance class, please inform the office, or your teacher directly. Thank you!
TAU's Launching Junior Dance Performance Company in January 2013!
TAU's Jr. Performance Company for ages 6 through 10 will be launching in January 2013. Students must be enrolled in one dance class of their choice in addition to a mandatory one hour rehearsal each week. Mark Your Calendar - Auditions will be held Saturday 12/1 & 12/15. TAU has some special art class offerings to help kids celebrate the Holidays and Winter Break:
Holiday Gift Making Colonial Art Class - Tuesday's from 3:30 - 5:00 pm beginning 11/16/12, Ages 5 - 9
Participants will have some great one of a kind Colonial gifts to give this season while learning about soap making, bees wax candle making, cross stitch, and other fun old world arts!
American Girl Doll Winter Wonderland - Thursday, December 27th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Ages 5 - 10
Bring your American Girl Doll and come make ear muffs, scarf, and New Year accessories. Make hot cocoa for you and your doll and enjoy decorating cookies for a snack.
Monster Art - Winter Break 2013 - Wednesday, January 2nd from 10:00 am - Noon, Ages 3 - 8
Get your creative juices flowing it's time to create a 3-D monster using all type of art materials!
