Hep C Connection has worked with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment to create a FREE educational training on hepatitis B and C for prevention providers!

We'll discuss:
- The basics of hepatitis B and C, including virology, transmission and treatment;
- Who should be screened for both viruses, the screening tests available and requirements around reporting, and local organizations that provide testing and/or vaccinations;
- An overview on risk reduction counseling, along with resources and referrals for positives;
- Suggestions on how to incorporate viral hepatitis services into your agency using the principles of Program Collaboration & Service Integration;
- As an optional component, the class will offer the official training on the OraSure rapid hepatitis C antibody test, along with CDPHE's guidelines around rapid testing.
