In this edition we will be looking at a recent statement from HMRC regarding the entry of goods into customs warehousing.  We will also be offering clarity on guidance isued by HMRC regarding visits by HMRC officers as well as bringing you up to date with classification and anti-dumping news, including compensatory interest rates.

Entering Goods to Customs Warehousing
 
HMRC released the following statement concerning entry of goods in to customs warehousing.
   

 

Visits by HMRC Officers
 

Public Notice 989 (Visits by Customs & Excise Officers) was cancelled on 1 May 2013 and replaced by guidance on it's website. The website guidance refers only to VAT officers and not International Trade (customs) officers but the structure and process is virtually identical.
