What's the deal with Poppers?
As 4th of July approaches, it has come to our attention that we can no longer carry poppers or "bang snaps" in our stores as they fall under the definition of fireworks. It is illegal to explode, possess or sell poppers and you can be ticketed for doing so. We wanted to make sure to pass the new information along to our customers and we hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July!

Greetings!
I have been to many buying trade shows since NYC Toy Fair before opening day in 1977, but ASTRA (American Specialty Toy Retailers Association) Marketplace 2013 was one of the best. We collectively seemed to be crawling out of the downturn malaise and there is fresh energy, some great new products and abundant support and camaraderie.
This year I decided to make buying shows and trade conventions a group event, sharing the experience, training and fun with some of our managers. It was a wildly successful time at ASTRA Marketplace in Nashville this year ....complete with line dancing and music everywhere in the land of the Grand Ole Opry! I love being in the specialty toy industry and am excited to share what we learned and the new great toys we found. Thanks for allowing Grandrabbit's into the heart of our great community!

MonkeezMakes a Difference teaches kids that by thinking of others they can make a big difference. In partnership with Genuine Monkeez and Friends, Monkeez Makes a Difference provides a rewarding experience for children through secure online games, "DoGood"challenges, and empowers children to understand organizations that make a difference on a local, national, and global level.
The program gives children the opportunity to select one of three partnering charities to direct Monkeez Makes a Difference donations made on their behalf. It's child's play that instills philanthropic values to last a lifetime! |
Lottie Dolls- Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You
Lottie has been based on the scientific proportions of a 9 year old child with the exception of her head (which has been increased to accommodate hair play). She does not wear jewelery, makeup, high heels or have tattoos. She can stand on her own two feet. Her clothes are vibrant in color and have significant attention to detail. Lottie's clothes are very much activity based, in line with those of a 9 year old instead of an adult. She also wears pretty 'girly' dresses, as well as hardwearing clothes for muddy, outdoors play. Lottie allows girls to be girls and enjoy their childhood, in all its facets.

Why do you like working at Grandrabbit's? I love all the specialty toys that we offer. Between the great toys and staff it is such a wonderful atmosphere.
What do you do outside of work for fun? Spend time with my husband Cole, 2 1/2 year old Jake, and 1 year old Luke..Bike riding, golfing, reading, spending time with friends and church family.
