COBIT Assessment Guides

There are multiple publications supporting various levels of assessments.  For instance, the COBIT Process Assessment Model (PAM): Using COBIT 5 provides a basis for assessing an enterprise's processes against COBIT 5. The model is evidence-based to enable a reliable, consistent, and repeatable way to assess IT process capabilities.

Dear  ,

At our January chapter meeting we had a chance to learn about working with vulnerability scan reports.  This month our chapter meeting focuses on social media, what it is and how we can provide assurance regarding its usage.

I would also like to remind everyone that it is time to renew our memberships.  The majority of our members have already renewed.  Memberships provides a lot of benefits including online access to
such content as COBIT and audit programs, as well as free online training opportunities. Membership also provides many opportunities for local networking and training.

Regards,
President, ISACA Phoenix Chapter

This session will provide some background on what social media is all about, the potential benefits (how organizations are taking advantage), and the potential risks (how organizations are identifying and managing). The rapid growth of social media comes with a number of real risks that range from data leakage and reputation damage to loss of employee productivity. We will discuss how an organization can take steps to identify relevant social media risks, and how to rank and address these risks in order of significance.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have a new web page on our chapter website that lists volunteer opportunities within our chapter.  Volunteer opportunities can be as little as a one-time, 2 hour commitment, or have repeating responsibilities - so please take a look at the opportunities and use the corresponding email links if you are interested in helping our chapter succeed and creating networking opportunities for yourself.
