New Chapter Website
We are moving our chapter's website to the ISACA International website solution. The new site provides the same content as before, with some additional benefits. We will not have the ability to provide member-only content. We will continue to provide job postings specific to our chapter.

Dear ,
We have some great upcoming events and an exciting announcement about our chapter website. At the end of November our chapter meeting will be about using SOC1, SOC2, and SOC3 reports to effectively manage external service providers. Also, on December 13th we will have our Annual Membership Appreciation Night. There will be appetizers and drinks, raffle prizes, a brief presentation (1 CPE), and other networking opportunities. This is a FREE event so please plan to attend. We are also excited to announce that we have a new ISACA Phoenix Chapter Website at http://www.isaca.org/phoenix. This site will provide the same content as our previous site, but will have additional ISACA International content, better support and backup services, and increased security. Our previous website was written in older code and needed an expensive re-write. It was susceptible to hacks and had been attacked with multiple DNS re-direction attacks in the past several weeks. We are very grateful to our chapter webmaster - David Williams - for the taking the time to create and populate our new with content. Please check it out when you get a chance, our old site will re-direct to this new site beginning November 14th. Be sure to check out the Job Postings page - there are have been several new postings this month.
Regards,
President, ISACA Phoenix Chapter

Lunch/Afternoon Chapter Meeting

When: November 29th (11:30 - 3:00)
Check-in begins at 11, lunch 11:30 to Noon
Where: The DoubleTree Hotel
320 N 44th St NW Corner of 44th Street and Van Buren Phoenix, Arizona 85008

Organizations are increasingly turning to outsourced services for help with key business functions in an effort to focus on core competencies, reduce costs, and more quickly deploy new application functionality. With growing global competition, various emerging threats, and regulatory requirements, organizations are increasingly focused on monitoring and managing the risks associated with their outsourced vendor relationships. And with the continued evolution of outsourcing models and the retirement of the SAS 70 report, outsourced services customers are increasingly using the new Service Organization Control (SOC) reports to help address their security and operational assurance needs that extend beyond traditional financial reporting controls.
To help your organization more effectively leverage the new SOC reports as part of your vendor risk management and compliance efforts, the sessions will cover:
- An overview of the SOC report types and market trends - Emerging SOC reporting scenarios - How customers can use SOC2/SOC3 reports to help manage security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity and privacy risks.
