Dear ,
The 2012 Phoenix Summer Security & Audit Conference with the ISSA was a great success. We had more than 250 attendees and received a lot of positive feedback. We hope to provide a similar conference next year and make it an annual event.
I would also like to announce that we had to say good-bye to two of our directors, one due to a job transfer and another due to a new job. I hope you can all join me in extending a thank you to Clayton Smith and Kim Jones. Clayton has been a great resource and helped with the web site over the years. Kim has been an excellent instructor for our CISM exam preparation courses and has contributed so much to not only ISACA, but the ISSA and other organizations in the Valley. We wish both of them the best in their endeavors, and Kim promised to still help with the November 2012 exam preparation course.
With their departure, I would also like to announce that the Board has appointed two new directors to fill their terms until our elections next Spring. We would like to welcome Andy Deas, Sr. Manager at Deloitte and Aaron Carpenter, IT Audit Manager at American Express. Both bring years of information security and audit experience as well as many resources throughout the area.
Regards,
President, ISACA Phoenix Chapter |
