Dear Friend of NEDA,
NEDA is committed to ensuring that individuals and their families receive the best information, up to date referrals and the support through their journeys that they so rightly deserve. We are just as committed to you and your professional community across the country, since you provide significant expertise for those in need. Linking those with eating disorders to qualified treatment professionals like you is a service that we know is critical.
A letter sent to currently listed professionals in February confirmed that NEDA is including all professionals who meet our criteria in our National Helpline Referral and Treatment database. This is a free service for all professionals and for those who seek treatment. If you are not currently listed on our referral page, please visit www.myneda.org/pro-referral to sign up.
Although the referral listing is free, providing this service does come with costs to NEDA and our hope is to encourage you, as a current or future NEDA treatment professional, to donate and thereby join our list of Pro-Champions. Our request is an annual $200 donation to NEDA. That is less than $4 per week! Please go to www.myneda.org/pro-champion
to make a donation. If you are interested in donating through our new monthly giving program please visit www.myneda.org/pro-monthly.
As a Pro-Champion, you will be listed with all other treatment professionals at no cost on our treatment pages, but in addition, we will create a separate page highlighting the names of those professionals who give back to our mission.
When an individual or family member searches this page, your name will appear as a supporter.
Please consider the difference you will make in supporting our mutual goals...education, awareness, communication, building community and a path toward recovery and, hopefully someday, a cure. Last year alone...NEDA had over 1 million unique visitors to our website, and during NEDAwareness Week, we witnessed a 67% increase in Helpline traffic, a 157% increase in "Click to Chat" usage and a 143% increase in the number of people screened (comparisons are 2013 to 2014).
We are educating people across the country that eating disorders require professional attention, and that those affected deserve the best treatment. Help us continue to reach out, connect, educate and provide resources to the public.
Most sincerely,
Lynn Grefe
President & CEO
