How Spirituality Unlocks the Door to Recovery
 | Margaret Nahib, PsyD |
Is spirituality the foundation upon which recovery is built? This presentation provides a theoretical approach with practical application for identity work in eating disorders. With two experienced clinicians, psychologist and nutrition therapist, the discussion includes a description of identity, reasons for convoluted identity and the connection to spirituality in recovery. Dr. Margaret Nagib is a clinical psychologist specializing in Christian counseling, inner healing and treating eating disorders, trauma, self-injuryand mood disorders. As Spirituality Clinical Coordinator, she oversees the Christian component of treatment at Timberline Knolls. She is responsible for the development of spiritual formation groups that are experiential, process, and educational in nature. Additionally, she provides individual, family and pastoral counseling. Her goal is to restore Timberline Knolls' residents to wholeness, helping each one to find her voice, purpose, and passion. Margaret earned her undergraduate degree from Pace University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois.
