Tailored Exchange: Finding a Consistent Method for the Nutritional Treatment of Eating Disorders

Amy Galena, MSH, RD, effectively delivers guidelines that can be utilized by all dietitians to provide consistent meal planning therapy for their eating disordered clients. This guide lays the ground-work for standardized meal planning with a collection of treatment tools to provide nutrition education for the client, family and dietitian.

 

Biographical Sketch: Amy Galena, MSH, RD, LD/N is a registered dietitian, licensed nutritionist, and owner of Bee Nutritious, an established business that specializes in child/adolescent weight management and eating disorders. In addition to her private practice, Amy is the lead dietitian for the Behavioral Health Department at her local hospital. Amy is camp Coordinator for the hospital's Weight to Health (obesity) Camp. Amy is author of EAT to Your Good Health: Exchange lists and meal planning for eating disorders. Amy holds a Certification in Child and Adolescent Weight Management, and a Certification in Personal Fitness Trainer.

Become a Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp)

You deserve to be recognized and validated as an experienced clinician and iaedp is committed to helping our members! The Board of Directors and Awards Committee created the Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp), a new category of elevated membership status available to highly committed and accomplished professionals.

 

For consideration for elevated membership status as a Fellow of iaedp, candidates' collective contributions over time will be evaluated. Guidelines identify but are not exclusive to iaedp members of seven continuous years or more who have been in practice for a minimum of 15 years, are preferably Certified Eating Disorder Specialists and have demonstrated accomplishment and participation in the field through activities such as teaching, presentations, training, research, writing and innovative community projects. Each honoree will receive a special certificate of recognition and Fellow Members may include "F. iaedp" with his or her credentials. Award nominations and Fellow of iaedp applications are encouraged from members through forms provided online.  More information here
