Nutritionists face a difficult task when convincing a patient and medical clinicians that, despite being weight restored, he/she may still require aggressive nutritional support and treatment. This presentation explores how to incorporate body composition analysis and metabolic testing into our practices to take the guesswork out of treatment.

Biographical Sketch: Carolyn Hodges Chaffee, MS, RD, is founder, owner and director of Sol Stone Center, a partial hospitalization program, and the Nutrition Clinic, a free-standing outpatient eating disorder clinic, located in Elmira, New York.. Outpatient satellite clinics are located in Syracuse, Ithaca, and Binghampton, New York. Approximately 200 patients are being served at any given time. She is also nutrition consultant and case manager for Cornell's eating disorder program. Approximately 400 students are treated annually. She is a member of ADA, AED, ANAD, ASDAH, IAEDP, NEDA, SCAN, STDA, and Vice President on the board for Ophelia's Place.

Biographical Sketch: Annika Kahm, BS, has been in private practice since 2002 in Stamford, Connecticut. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and exercise addiction. She was also the head nutritionist at The Wilkins Center For Eating Disorders from 1982-2002. Annika's publications include the nutritional sections of three books: Controlling Eating Disorders with Facts, Advice and Resources (Oryx Press, 1992), Eating Disorders: A Reference Source Book (Oryx Press, 1999), and Eating Disorders... New Directions in Treatment and Recovery (Columbia
Press, 2001).

Case Consultation Group Forming! To address the case consultation needs of our international membership, the iaedp Communications Committee introduces an ongoing twice-monthly consultation group in an interactive webinar format. · All iaedp members are invited to participate. · Seasoned clinicians address complex cases, mentor early career therapists, and learn cutting edge techniques. · Licensed clinicians may request feedback on cases, listen, and provide feedback. · Unlicensed trainees may request feedback on cases and listen. This is to provide a learning opportunity for those in training while ensuring that feedback is only from licensed professionals. · From time to time, the consultation group will have a guest host who will field case questions before responses from other iaedp members.

Symposium 2014 Program Development
The panel of peer reviewers have completed their review process. It will take another couple of weeks before the final selections will be announced. Our sincere thanks to the Review Committee for taking time from their busy schedules to put together an exceptional slate of speakers and topics for Symposium 2014! There were many incredible abstracts submitted and it is not easy to select. It is shaping up to be a very exciting conference! Kelly G. Wilson, PhD is a Professor of Psychology and award winning lecturer at the University at Mississippi. He is former President of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, former Representative-at-Large of the Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology, and is one of the co-developers of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He directs the University of Mississippi Center for Contextual Psychology.
Dr. Wilson will present a keynote on Friday, Feb 28 at 9 am followed by an afternoon workshop from 2:50 pm to 4:50 pm also on Friday, Feb 28, 2014.

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. is Founding Partner and Director of Mind-Body Health Sciences, LLC in Boulder, CO. Her doctorate is in cellular biology from the Harvard Medical School where she also completed three post-doctoral fellowships in experimental pathology, behavioral medicine and psychoneuroimmunology. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, a spiritual director, and a trainer of spiritual directors. Dr. Borysenko is a former faculty member both at the Tufts University School of Medicine and at the Harvard Medical School. A renowned pioneer in the field of stress and health, she is the author of numerous peer reviewed articles and 15 books.

Carolyn Costin MFT, CEDS, a recovered anorexic, has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders and exercise addiction since 1977. Carolyn is founder and executive director of The Eating Disorder Center of California, Monte Nido and Affiliates.
Carolyn continues to educate and train professionals on the treatment and prevention of eating disorders around the country. Her lectures and workshops range from key presentations at national and international conferences, to local community organizations, high schools, and her study groups for professionals. She has written four books which are popular with both professionals and the lay public:

Become a Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp)
You deserve to be recognized and validated as an experienced clinician and iaedp is committed to helping our members! The Board of Directors and Awards Committee created the Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp), a new category of elevated membership status available to highly committed and accomplished professionals.
For consideration for elevated membership status as a Fellow of iaedp, candidates' collective contributions over time will be evaluated. Guidelines identify but are not exclusive to iaedp members of seven continuous years or more who have been in practice for a minimum of 15 years, are preferably Certified Eating Disorder Specialists and have demonstrated accomplishment and participation in the field through activities such as teaching, presentations, training, research, writing and innovative community projects. Each honoree will receive a special certificate of recognition and Fellow Members may include "F. iaedp" with his or her credentials. Award nominations and Fellow of iaedp applications are encouraged from members through forms provided online. More information here
