Kelly G. Wilson PhD |
Kelly G. Wilson, PhD is a Professor of Psychology and award winning lecturer at the University at Mississippi. He is former President of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, former Representative-at-Large of the Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology, and is one of the co-developers of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He directs the University of Mississippi Center for Contextual Psychology. Dr. Wilson has devoted himself to the development and dissemination of ACT and its underlying theory and philosophy for more than 20 years, publishing 45 articles, 35 chapters, and 10 books including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: The Process and Practice of Mindful Change (2nd ed.), Mindfulness for Two: The Place of Mindfulness in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and The Wisdom to Know the Difference: An ACT Workbook for Overcoming Substance Abuse. He has central interests in the application of behavioral principles to understanding topics such as purpose, meaning, values, therapeutic relationship, and mindfulness. Dr. Wilson has presented workshops in 30 countries, and has participated as co-investigator in a wide range of research projects in the U.S. and around the world. He has consulted in the development of ACT interventions as 1 on 1 interventions, group therapy, and workshop style interventions. Treated populations have included medical patients, substance abusers, as well as a variety of psychological difficulties. In addition, he has worked in the development of interventions for the improvement of student performance, mental health staff, and staff at intellectual disabilities facilities. Dr. Wilson's current strongest interest is in the development of ACT interventions for the improvement of health and wellness.
Dr. Wilson will present a keynote on Friday, Feb 28 at 9 am followed by an afternoon workshop from 2:50 pm to 4:50 pm also on Friday, Feb 28, 2014.

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. |
Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. is Founding Partner and Director of Mind-Body Health Sciences, LLC in Boulder, CO. Her doctorate is in cellular biology from the Harvard Medical School where she also completed three post-doctoral fellowships in experimental pathology, behavioral medicine and psychoneuroimmunology. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, a spiritual director, and a trainer of spiritual directors. Dr. Borysenko is a former faculty member both at the Tufts University School of Medicine and at the Harvard Medical School.
A renowned pioneer in the field of stress and health, she is the author of numerous peer reviewed articles and 15 books, including the New York Times best seller Minding the Body, Mending the Mind. Her most recent books, It's Not the End of the World: Developing Resilience in Times of Change and Fried: Why You Burn Out and How to Revive speak to the needs of the liminal times we are living in. Dr. Borysenko is a much sought after national speaker, known for her gracious presence, authenticity, humor, and ability to inspire as well as to inform. A blogger for the Huffington post and Oprah.com, her work also appears in numerous magazines in the United States and abroad and in newspapers ranging from The Washington Post to the Wall Street Journal.

Carolyn Costin MA MEd MFT CEDS |
Carolyn Costin MFT, CEDS, a recovered anorexic, has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders and exercise addiction since 1977. Carolyn is founder and executive director of The Eating Disorder Center of California, Monte Nido and Affiliates. Previously a high school teacher and counselor, Carolyn left her first career to devote herself fully to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. In the early 1980's,
Carolyn continues to educate and train professionals on the treatment and prevention of eating disorders around the country. Her lectures and workshops range from key presentations at national and international conferences, to local community organizations, high schools, and her study groups for professionals. Carolyn furnishes professionals with the latest research and techniques in therapy, nutrition, and behavior modification, as well as her personal philosophy on what facilitates successful recovery.
