They were excellent contributors to the national leadership team over the past year. Thank You!

A Message from the President
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The New Year is full of exciting changes. Treatment resources are growing. Treatment professionals are expanding their practices. Research and live practice continue a vibrant debate within many forums. All told, this is an exciting time to be involved on many levels in this ever-evolving area of mental health care: Eating Disorders. Attending the IAEDP Symposium has been an annual pilgrimage for most of my nearly two decades in treating those who suffer with eating disorders. The opportunity to reunite with colleagues who have now become friends, meet new attendees and continue the learning process from a vast array of experienced professionals places the IAEDP Symposium high on the events calendar. In addition to the annual Symposium, professionals are gathering together in the rapidly growing number of IAEDP regional chapters throughout the United States, as well as our first international chapter. IAEDP is reaching a greater number of treatment professionals than ever before, affording a higher quality of knowledgeable providers to those who need it most. It has been a humbling experience to be asked to represent IAEDP as the 2013-2015 President for the Board of Directors. This is largely due to the respect I have for each IAEDP member who has touched the hearts of those afflicted, returning to their offices day after day to do it another time. It is due to your commitment and dedication that I am honored to represent IAEDP over this term. At its end, I hope that I will have done IAEDP, along with all of you, the good so rightly deserved. Thank you for this opportunity to serve. I look forward to seeing each of you at the IAEDP Annual Symposium "What's New Under the Sun: Innovative Approaches to Treatment."

You deserve to be recognized and validated as an experienced clinician and iaedp is committed to helping our members! The Board of Directors and Awards Committee created the Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp), a new category of elevated membership status available to highly committed and accomplished professionals.
For consideration for elevated membership status as a Fellow of iaedp, candidates' collective contributions over time will be evaluated. Guidelines identify but are not exclusive to iaedp members of seven continuous years or more who have been in practice for a minimum of 15 years, are preferably Certified Eating Disorder Specialists and have demonstrated accomplishment and participation in the field through activities such as teaching, presentations, training, research, writing and innovative community projects. Each honoree will receive a special certificate of recognition and Fellow Members may include "F. iaedp" with his or her credentials.
