Awards Submittal Deadlines Approaches:  Make your nomination before they close!

Become a Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp)

You deserve to be recognized and validated as an experienced clinician and iaedp is committed to helping our members! The Board of Directors and Awards Committee created the Fellow of iaedp (F.iaedp), a new category of elevated membership status available to highly committed and accomplished professionals.

For consideration for elevated membership status as a Fellow of iaedp, candidates' collective contributions over time will be evaluated. Guidelines identify but are not exclusive to iaedp members of seven continuous years or more who have been in practice for a minimum of 15 years, are preferably Certified Eating Disorder Specialists and have demonstrated accomplishment and participation in the field through activities such as teaching, presentations, training, research, writing and innovative community projects. Each honoree will receive a special certificate of recognition and Fellow Members may include "F. iaedp" with his or her credentials. Award nominations and Fellow of iaedp applications are encouraged from members through forms provided online.  More information here

The Spirit of iaedp Award is given to a member of iaedp for ten years or more who demonstrates consistent service and loyalty to iaedp's mission. Certification is important but not required of recipients, widely known to iaedp's members. It is fitting that Helen Morton, LCSW, MSW, CEDS. who is an integral part of iaedp's Symposiums, a highly credentialed professional, and a wonderful friend of iaedp received this inaugural award in 2012.  More information here

Member of the Year Award is given to individual members who have made a significant contribution to the overall mission of the organization. The inaugural awards in 2012 were given to Stacie McEntyre, MSW, LCSW, CEDS and Tammy Beasley, RD, CSSD, CEDRD.  Stacie and Tammy co-chaired the iaedp Certification Committee and have been instrumental in the development of the CEDRD and CEDRN certifications. More information here

The New Professional Award recognizes a member who has been in the field five years or fewer for innovative and substantial contributions to iaedp and the eating disorder treatment field. Possible contribution includes but is not limited to organizing a training event, supporting research through a fundraising program or assisting other new professionals in training. The inaugural award was given to Elisa Mott in 2012.
