A Message from Police Chief Jimmy Perdue

Police Chief Jimmy Perdue
On behalf of the men and women of the NRHPD I would like to thank our community for the incredible outpouring of love and support we have experienced these past few days. We have been overwhelmed with your notes, cards, letters, emails, and personal visits to express your appreciation for the work our employees do. We also have been smothered in southern love with the abundance of food you have brought us just to show how much you care. Each and every gesture makes us all so proud of the relationship we have with the members of the NRH community and sustains us through these dark times.

Law enforcement is going through a difficult and challenging time, but I remain confident in the dedication and commitment of the members of our Department to the ideals that we share as a community. We will always remain steadfast to our core principles of Service, Honor and Integrity in everything we do. Thank you NRH for supporting YOUR Police Department.

Tire Collection Event is This Saturday

Old tires left outdoors hold standing water, which creates a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Help protect your family and neighborhood from mosquito-borne illnesses by properly disposing of unused tires. There will be a free tire collection event on Saturday, July 16 at the Dan Echols Center. Residents can drop off tires in the center's back parking lot between 9 a.m. and noon. In exchange for your tires you will receive 2 mosquito dunks. If you have questions, please contact the Neighborhood Services Department at 817-427-6650.

Pet Adoption Fees Waived Next Saturday

Clear the Shelters Day is Saturday, July 23. The North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center and other animal shelters across DFW will waive adoption fees on this day only. The adoption fee (normally $100) includes spay / neuter, vaccinations, microchip and pet license.

For more information, please visit the Animal Adoption & Rescue Center online, in person at 7301 Iron Horse Boulevard or call 817-427-6570.
