Input Sought for Northfield Park Renovation

The Parks & Recreation Department invites the public to help plan for the renovation of Northfield Park. The park, located at 7804 Davis Boulevard, opened in 1981 and its infrastructure and many of its amenities are in need of replacement. Two meetings will be held to get input from residents on what they feel are the most important amenities in Northfield Park:
  • Monday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Life Church, 7850 Davis Boulevard;
  • Tuesday, June 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at NRH City Hall, 4301 City Point Drive.
If you cannot attend either meeting, but would like to provide ideas for the park, please contact Bill Thornton, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, at 817-427-6620 or bthornton@nrhtx.com

Meeting to Focus on Regional Bicycle Plans

Learn about bicycle plans in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and provide input at a public meeting on June 23 in North Richland Hills. The meeting, which is hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation and North Central Texas Council of Governments, will take place in the Grand Hall at the NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Ave. It will include an open house starting at 5 p.m. and a public hearing starting at 6 p.m. Please see the TxDOT website for more information or call 817-370-6737.

Exchange Zone Relocated to New City Hall

The NRH Police Department recently relocated its Exchange Zone to our new City Hall at 4301 City Point Dr. in front of the Public Safety entrance. The Exchange Zone is a safe place residents can use for completing buy/sell/trade transactions and conducting child custody exchanges. The area has a camera view on it and will soon have an active emergency phone nearby.
