Recycle Cooking Oils, Grease
The NRH Public Works Department is making it easy for you to recycle used cooking oil from your holiday feasts. Instead of throwing cooking oils and grease down the drain, which can lead to clogged sewer pipes, put it in a plastic container and turn it in for recycling.
The Public Works Department will collect used cooking oils for recycling November 30 - December 4, 2015 and January 4 - 8, 2016. Containers holding the discarded oils and grease must be made of plastic and have a screw top lid. To request a pick up, please call 817-427-6457.
This program is for residential citizens and excludes restaurants or commercial users. More information about proper grease disposal and ways to prevent clogged sewer pipes is available here.
