Sign Up for Emergency Notifications
Starting in February 2015, the City of North Richland Hills will use a new system for delivering messages about severe weather and other emergencies to residents. The new system, which is called Everbridge, replaces the CodeRED system that the city previously used.
The Everbridge database already includes land line telephone numbers in North Richland Hills. Residents can also register to receive emergency calls on their mobile phone or to get emergency notices via email or text message. You can learn more and register online at www.nrhtx.com/everbridge or by calling 817-427-6900.

City to Revisit Ordinance 3343
During their January 26 meeting, the City Council agreed to revisit Ordinance 3343 on solar panels after receiving a petition from citizens about the ordinance. The Council directed staff to survey residents to determine more specifically what changes citizens want to the ordinance. Any amendments to the ordinance will then go through the public hearing process as outlined in state zoning laws. While the ordinance is under review, the special use permit fee for street facing solar panels will be waived. Residents can watch the City Council Meeting online.
