Mercy Hospital Medical Center
sponsored by Astoria Bank

Project Coordinator and Mural Artist, Sarah Baecher (far right) poses with hospital staff at Mercy Medical Center, and their newly installed murals for the Adult Rehabilitation Dining Room.

These murals are installed in the Mercy Medical Center dining hall for patients and staff to gaze out into a serene beach scene and fall into a more tranquil inspiration within the hospital walls.

Since Mercy Medical Center serves mostly adult physical therapy patients, these murals are customized specifically
for its viewers on a realistic beach scene,
inviting in lots of light and color into the room.

This mural hangs besides the latter with a welcoming path along the bright, calm beach.

Also, thank you to the maintenance team at Mercy Medical Center for their help installing the murals.

Northport VA Medical Center
sponsored by Theresa Santmann

Thanks to the generosity of our Board Vice President, Theresa Santmamn, the Acute Psychiatry Unit at the Northport VA Medical Center is now transformed  into a calm and peaceful oasis for the Veterans who spend their time here.

Theresa Santmann poses in front of the new mural in the A2-92 Day Room.
The peaceful window scene of a soothing beach will help bring the outdoors inside for the Veterans who spend time in the Day Room.

Above Santmann poses with the 4' h x 10' w mural in the holding vestibule which holds the Veterans and staff members before entering into the unit.

Across the hall in the vestibule also depicts a mural of the Harbor and this calming outdoor scene.
