NASIMCO Annual Conference 2016, Toronto

This year's NASIMCO conference will be held on the weekend of May 28 in Toronto, Ontario, hosted by Islamic Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat of Toronto.
This is also the election year for the Executive Council, NASIMCO received nominations of the following two candidates for the office of President of NASIMCO for the term 2016-2019:
- Br Mohamed A. Dewji nominated by SMCBC, Vancouver Jamaat
- Br Razak Damani nominated by ISIJ, Toronto Jamaat
All members of constituent Jamaats are invited to attend the conference in Toronto. The conference is open to all.

NASIMCO Youth Leadership Retreat 2016, Orlando
|
NASIMCO is pleased to inform that the Youth Leadership Retreat with the theme of "Thinking Outside the Box: Making Your Voice Count!" this year will be held in Florida.
This retreat is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities.
This year's retreat will be hosted by the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida,INC. at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in Fruitland Park, Florida.
The retreat will combine facilitated workshops, debates, dialogue and recreational activities in order to optimize learning opportunities for all participants. It will take place during Labour Day weekend, from September 2nd to September 5th,. The intended participants are all youth ages 18 to 25.
Registration is USD $200.00 per participant, which includes food, lodging, and ground transportation from Orlando. Spaces at the retreat are limited to 30 participants.

Community Events - Sunshine Sports Festival 2016, Orlando

Sunshine Sports Festival is scheduled to be held this coming winter in Orlando, Florida. The Festival, designed to enhance the spirit of unity through sports, will be held during the 2016 Christmas break from Thursday, December 22, 2016 to Monday, December 26, 2016. Individual & Team Sports for both Men and Ladies are being offered.
The deadline to register for Team Sports is June 30, 2016 and Individual Sports is August 15, 2016.

Anjuman e Faiz e Panjetani, Iraq

Anjuman e Faiz e Panjetani, cordially invites all to the inauguration Ceremony of the re-opening of Al-Najaf Residence (Musafirkhana) on May 24, 2016 at 4:00pm in Iraq, hotel Qasr Al Dur, Sahre Imam Zainalabedin (A.S.).
Anjuman e Faiz e Panjetani (AFP), was established in 1912 with the objective of assisting pilgrims visiting the holy shrines in Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria. Pilgrim Residences (Musafirkhanas) were set up in Najaf, Karbala and Kazmain by donors from different countries in the 1940s and 50s.
Al Najaf Residence, with a capacity of about 70 pilgrims is located just 90 meters away from the Haram of Imam Ali A.S. This property has been carefully restored to its original architectural aesthetic while simultaneously being upgraded with modern amenities. The restoration work has taken almost 20 months and cost approximately 2 Million USD. After almost 40 years, the Al Najaf Residence (Musafirkhana) will be re-opened in the month of Shabaan InshaAllah. You are requested to kindly grace the event with your presence.
