NASIMCO Syrian Humanitarian Relief
The image of a three year old Syrian boy, Alan Kurdi, faced down and dead on a Turkish beach shocked the world last September. The heartbreaking story mobilized Canadians and the Canadian Government to accept 25,000 Syrian refugees, most of whom are being accommodated in hotels until affordable housing arrangements are made, which became possible through government sponsorship.

These refugees face logistical challenges in accessing services (transportation, language, etc) and personal care products. NASIMCO, in collaboration with other Government appointed agencies and faith based organizations, took the initiative to meet some of their needs by providing personal care packages to 600 Syrian refugee individuals/families in Toronto waiting to be settled.

NASIMCO would like to thank all the dedicated and passionate volunteers and donors who help make this ongoing initiative a success.
