NASIMCO Center of Islamic Learning (CIL)
|
NASIMCO Centre of Islamic Learning (CIL) in association with The
World Federation Madrasah Centre of Excellence (MCE) held Teacher Skills and Tools Program (TST) workshop for Jamaats in:
London, Ontario (Oct 9-10, 2015)
and
Miami, Florida (Nov 14-15, 2015)
The TST program focuses on using skills and tools to practice a student centered approach to learning. It further provides strategies that teachers could use to achieve higher retention in the learning outcomes for students.
The program emphasizes on the practical application of Islam to a Child's life in a way that is positive and age appropriate.
Participants are provided opportunity to create an action plan to highlight the strengths of the Madrasah and ways to develop further. Some of the participants at the London, Ontario workshop commented:
"Awesome program - very beneficial, especially for those like myself with no background in teaching. It is a great program, and certainly benefited me more than I ever imagined."
" I am very pleased with the level of information provided as it gave me many techniques that I can use in today's class."
Comments received from Miami participants were:
"The program was extremely relevant to today's generation. Sometimes we get into a routine and revert back to the way we were taught. This was a wake up call."
"The level of engagement for each activity was so well thought out that I will remember it as long as I am a teacher."
CIL is further scheduled to hold Teacher Development Programs at:
Vancouver, BC on (Dec 28-29, 2015)
and
Los Angeles, California on (Feb 6-7, 2015)
Jamaats are encouraged to take advantage of these programs for their Madaris that are available through NASIMCO.

NASIMCO is pleased to announce it's newly published book, Du'a Kumayl. This is part 1 - Nature of sins and pre-requisites for forgiveness, of a brief commentary by Mu'allim Muhammadhusein Kermali.
Du'a Kumayl is dynamic in that it can generate spiritual force in our hearts; bring about tranquility of mind and a sense of contentment and ecstasy.
This new publication explores the status, the source and the merits of Du'a Kumayl which is a special Du'a that belongs to the private domain of our Ae'mmah (a.s). Amir al-Mu'mineen (a.s) gave it as a gift to his close companion, Kumayl, who wrote it down. It has reached us through authentic sources, dating back to the fifth century.
ORDER your copy NOW.
This book is available online and at your local centers.
