| Sheikh Abbas Qummi (RA) Author of the book 'Mafateeh-ul-Jinan'(The Keys of Paradise)
Hajj Sheikh Abbas Qumi (RA) is one of the greatest scholars, researchers and narrators who in righteousness and self-sacrifice is an example of such self-made people who want to go further by means of development and guidance. He was brought up in a pious family and he himself embarked upon a thriving faith and spirituality, and due to his efforts in the path of piety and abstemiousness, the luminous heavenly-light enlightened his inner-self and had greatly affected his thought, behavior, mental and propagational efforts. His pious and mystical life is witness to such a claim.
The mystery of the success and popularity of this great scholar among the people, because of his book of supplications named Mafateeh-ul-Jinnan, is because faith and devotion were surging in the stream of his existence and had made his inner-self pure, pleasant and wholesome. Whatever he would write for others or speak of on the pulpit was the truth and came from the core of his heart, and before summoning others to the right path, he himself would practice what he preached.
He, with all his ability, like other Shi'a scholars, stood against the mean cultural customs, self-losing and intellectual conspiracies. He, enjoined the right and forbade the wrong and stood in the battlefield to fight the enemies of faith and with his piety and eloquent speech quenched the thirst of the learned scholars.

"Absolutely fantastic! Fun, practical, engaging and touched on many notes". This was a comment received at the 2nd Teacher Development and Support Program (TDSP) held in Orlando on February 8th and 9th, 2014 which was attended by 24 participants. The program is produced by NASIMCO Center for Islamic Learning (CIL) in association with The World Federation Madrasah Centre of Excellence (MCE).
This fun and interactive two day program was aimed at teachers who want to enhance their teaching skills to build a stronger future for our children and increase their potential as Madrasah Teachers. The participants of this program were given tools and skills that they can directly apply in their classrooms.

Testimonial from Principal of Orlando Madrasah, Sr Taazim Jessa:
The teaching material was well prepared and flawlessly delivered. The goal of this weekend's program was 'To equip teachers with skills, tools and support to enhance student and teacher relationship and learning'. Based on feedback, this goal was achieved. The seminar was empowering for both young and veteran teachers. The teachers were inspired to teach using contemporary methods that are conducive to learning. Most importantly, it instilled a sense of fellowship amongst the teachers that will ensure the learned skills will be implemented as a team within the Madrasah setting. We, at IEC are grateful to NASIMCO-CIL, HIC-MC and CBE for having supported and helped us to implement this program for our madrasah. 'It truly takes a village to raise a child'.
