School districts can piggyback on money-saving contracts available through two national cooperative purchasing programs under one roof, The Keystone Purchasing Network and PEPPM Technology Bidding and Purchasing Program.  Both programs advertise and solicit sealed bids, which are awarded to the most responsive and responsible bidders.  The result is higher quality at lower prices.

Dear Friends!

Back-to-school season is always an exciting time of year. We all start the new school year with high hopes and eager to move mountains for students. As the year goes on and we are faced with daily challenges, negativity from the press and politics, and the pressure of looming state testing, it is easy to lose sight of the hope and enthusiasm with which we started the year.

We aim to prevent that hope and enthusiasm from fading! Friends of Texas Public Schools will send monthly reminders of the extraordinary work occurring daily in our public schools, thanks to hard working and dedicated educators and their incredible students. It is our desire to lift the spirits of educators and students across the state throughout the school year by featuring their many strengths and achievements.

Whether you are a teacher, an administrator, a school board member or a community ambassador, we want you to know we have your back!

You are awesome and we know it. We exist to make sure others know it too. We look forward to spreading the word about your extraordinary efforts this year!

Scott and Leslie Milder, Founders of Friends of Texas Public Schools

Let's make this year more awesome!
