Be an Ambassador
| One of the definitions for "Ambassador" in the Oxford Dictionary is "A person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity." I suggest that you pick an activity which you value, appoint yourself as an ambassador for the activity, and take a pro-active approach to encourage others to join you in your selected activity.
Your chosen activity could be membership in a business related group, such as a chamber of commerce, membership in a religious organization, participation in a recreational activity or any number of activities. As an ambassador, you contribute to the ongoing vitality of your selected activity, and you develop a closer bond with the persons you have recruited for your activity. Also, you have offered an opportunity for your friends and colleagues to enrich their lives.
Good Luck!
