Who is Shooting Super 8 in October

Pro8mm film, processing and HD scanning workflows were used to contrast new media in the Canvas Cooler Project created by Red Bull.
 Look for scenes from Season 2 of American Horror Story in Super 8 coming this fall! They rented a Max1014xls & Classic Pro, and shot 20 rolls of Pro8-22 64D! Watch American Horror Story on Wednesday's this fall on FX!
 The opening scenes of ARGO (when they take over the US embassy) were shot in Super 8, transferred in HD at Pro8mm.
 Documentary Film "Butch Walker: Out of Focus" used Pro8mm workflows to help tell the compelling story of American songwriter / producer and singer Butch Walker, a moving story about a man's pursuit of both love of his family and great music.
We caught up with directors Peter Harding and Shane Valdes, who said "I just love real film and am drawn to anything vintage. I do a lot of work with musicians and always to try to use Super 8 film as much as I can on projects. It helps tell the story and add that nostalgic feeling."
The film has won many awards in the festival circuit. It will be screening on November 7 in Hollywood as part of the ArcLight Documentary Film Festival.

Summit Wrap-Up!
We had a fantastic weekend at the Super 8 Film Summit!
Thank you again to all that participated, including our expert speakers and trainers: Laura Merians, David Dibble, Daniel Lir, and Moy Perez.
