Shoot film first hand at the Super 8 Film Summit with our amazing guest speakers and trainers, who will be taking our Super 8 Film Summit participants out of the classroom and onto the set! With a 4-roll state of the art film package included in every registration, you will get to shoot film with the experts and learn the tips and tricks that are getting them hired!
Our experts have been hired to shoot Super 8 projects for major companies such as Whole Foods, Smashbox Cosmetics, Guess, the Going Green Film Festival, music videos such as PNKYSWR, and more. They are experts at their craft and know that if you want the look of film you have to originate on film!
 Daniel Lir and Bayou Bennett of Dolce Films: Independent filmmakers and screen writers Daniel Lir and Bayou Bennett co-wrote the award winning hit comedy, "Text Me" which has traveled around the world to over 15 film festivals and received top honors from execs at Fox, Dreamworks, and New Regency.  Laura Merians: Laura is a cinematographer and director based in Los Angeles and New York City. Her work has been featured in American Cinematographer, Studio Monthly Magazine, Videography Magazine, and Digital Cinematography.  David Dibble: Award-winning filmmaker David Dibble has been DP on many of his own independent films and commercials, as well as having shot a variety of features, shorts and documentaries for companies such as Warner Bros. and PBS. He shoots mostly with the Max1014xls with Max 8 and Crystal Sync, and is a master at incorporating Super 8 film into a state of the art workflow. Pro8mm hits Naw'leans This Fall!
For generations New  Orleans has appealed to artists, musicians and writers alike. But over the past few years, Louisana's film and video production has trippled! Louisana is the 3rd largest state in the USA for film and TV production, falling just behind LA & New York!
This fall Pro8mm is partnering with two amazing New Orleans film organizations.

Pro8mm will be providing processing & HD transfer services for TimeCode:Nola's second annual Super 8 One Reel Contest! If you are in the New Orleans area it's not too late to participate. The New Orleans Film Festival

The 23rd annual New Orleans Film Festival, presented by The New Orleans Film Society will take place October 11 - 18, 2012! Moviemaker Magazine has named the New Orleans Film Festival one of the "25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee." Read the complete article here.

KT Auleta shoot's Super 8 for Nowness.com, Louis Vuitton's editorial website!
KT Auleta hits a home run with her series, "Lost Olympic Sports" as featured on Nowness.com!
This nostalgic short film series created for Nowness.com, an online fashion publication created by Louis Vuitton, revisits three events missing from the games - baseball, tug of war, and racquets.
"With the grain of Super 8, there is a real visual depth, a sexiness," says Auleta, who has shot for Viktor & Rolf, Opening Ceremony and Louis Vuitton, and editorials for Elle, i-D and Vogue. "I wanted a carefree feel from the models, allowing playfulness and the interplay between the sexes to shine through."
The three featured sports disappeared between Olympic cycles over the course of the century. With baseball missing from this year's Games, Auleta focused on the sport's jovial elements. "I wanted to show six happy, beautiful people having fun," says the director of her fictional coed team.
Technically speaking, Pro8mm president Phil Vigeant states, "This project was a lot of fun, and a great utilization of our image stabilization system."

Laura was honored to shoot a public service announcement for The American Heart Association. This piece thanks the donors of the Valor Academy Teaching Garden in Arleta, CA, which will educate students and promote a healthy lifestyle.
