The Kitsap Peninsula is home to dozens of breweries that are winning awards around the region and the USA. New brew-pubs/ale houses opening their taps include Bainbridge Island Brewing Co. and Slaughter County Brewing just east of downtown Port Orchard on Bay Street. Wine Tasting & Tours. The Kitsap Peninsula is also home to many wonderful wineries that offer wine tour weekends throughout the year. Taste classic favorites from grapes grown east of the mountains, as well as a few island-grown delights. Bainbridge Island Wineries offer their next winery tour event on November 23-24. Enjoy a delicious meal in lush surroundings at one of the many unique restaurants near by. Olalla Valley Vineyard will be open November 23-January 2 for Christmas at the Winery. Salmon Run, Wildlife and Sunset Kayak Tours
For the quintessential Northwest Experience, take a guided salmon tour with trained guides sponsored by the Olympic Outdoor Center. Witness the annual return of local salmon. It's fun, educational and great for all ages...for locals and visitors. No experience needed. Tour a salmon hatchery (Saturdays Only) and a salmon stream. The Salmon tours run through the middle of November. Also during the Fall months, are the Wildlife Tours and Sunset Tours.
